Speed Ramping Practice Footage (20GB, 4K)
Master speed ramping without hunting for B-roll.
This library gives you 20GB of cinematic, color-graded footage designed specifically for practicing ramps, timing, and momentum—so you can focus on editing, not sourcing.
Why this works
- Consistent looks: Footage is already graded to a polished Rec.709 look, so you’re evaluating timing, not color.
- Made for motion: Clips are chosen for clean directionality and parallax—the raw material good ramps need.
- Edit-ready: Drop into Resolve, Premiere, or FCP and start cutting immediately.
What’s inside
- 20GB of professionally shot 4K footage (Rec.709 delivery look)
- A variety of motion types: pass-bys, push-ins, pull-backs, reveals, pans, slides, close-up detail moves, and steady tracking shots

- Organized folders by move type for quick drills
Perfect for
Car cinematics, motorsport edits, reels/shorts, showreels, trailers, and any high-energy piece where flow and pacing matter.
Compatibility
- DaVinci Resolve 18+, Premiere Pro 2022+, Final Cut Pro 10.6+
- macOS & Windows
- Imports like standard 4K Rec.709 footage (no special plugins)
Quick start (Resolve example)
- Create/confirm a Rec.709 2.4 timeline.
- Drop a clip → add Speed Points (Shift+R).
- Shape your velocity curve (ease in/out for natural acceleration).
- Layer in whooshes/impacts on the ramp apex to sell speed.
- If needed, add motion blur (plugin or Retime & Scaling → Motion Estimation).
Pro tips
- Keep ramps shortest at cuts; lengthen ramps for reveals.
- Ramps feel smoother when screen direction stays consistent.
- Use tighter focal lengths for punchier perceived speed; wides for long, fluid moves.
Practice drills (use the included folders)
- 3-Beat Ramp: Accelerate → coast → accelerate to match music phrasing.
- Passing Object Reveal: Ramp through foreground to reveal subject on the beat.
- Whip-to-Whip: End clip with a fast pan; start next clip with the same direction, bridge with a short ramp.
- Ramp to Freeze: Punch into 300–400% then snap to 0% for a title or SFX moment.
- Velocity Montage: Chain 5–7 micro-ramps for a trailer-style burst.
